Our Story
Second Space was started in Cape Town by Mel and Sophie, two mothers who saw a need for a secure, dedicated platform where parents could exchange high-quality baby items with peace of mind.
While many communities exist on social media and messaging apps, they often lack the security and privacy that parents deserve. Without a trusted third party, transactions can be risky, leading to potential disputes and disappointment. After their own homes started to fill with beloved but outgrown baby gear, Mel and Sophie envisioned a better way.
They dreamed of a place where cherished, mindfully-purchased products could find a new home with like-minded families. And so, Second Space was born.
